My name is Maxwell Skinner. Max for short, I have been interested in my family history since the early 1980's, my first certificates were dated 1986.     My ancestors, Great Grand Parents from both sides landed in Victoria in the early to mid 1800's settling in the Hamilton district and later around Castlemaine and Camperdown area, the Grand Parents then moved to around the Colac and Otways area where I was born.   
     I have about 1500 names in my tree, I have had some great help from cousins around the Colac district, they have done a reasonable amount of research, but for some unknown reason they have stopped researching and I have carried on with the research from their work.
     I'm now trying hard for information from England and Ireland.     Anyone is welcome to browse my tree and may contact me if any noticeable mistakes are found, or indeed if you feel that we have a similar line and that someone just might be related please contact me.
